Reviewer Recognition

SPIR supports the recognition of peer-review activities and encourages reviewers to maintain a record of their reviewing contributions through recognized academic platforms, including Web of Science Reviewer Recognition services where applicable.

Upon completion of a peer review, and subject to the journal’s confidentiality policies, reviewers may receive acknowledgment of their reviewing activity through appropriate recognition services. SPIR respects reviewers’ confidentiality and does not disclose the identity of reviewers associated with specific manuscripts.

Comments for Authors

• Avoid personal criticism or inappropriate language;
• Help authors improve the quality and clarity of their work.

Confidential Comments to the Editor

Reviewers may provide confidential comments to the editor regarding:

• The suitability of the manuscript for publication;
• Potential ethical concerns;
• Possible conflicts of interest;
• Any issues that require editorial attention.

Ethical Considerations

Reviewers should:

• Treat all manuscripts as confidential documents;
• Not share manuscript content with others without permission from the editor;
• Not use unpublished information obtained during peer review;
• Report any suspected ethical issues, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, or data manipulation.
