SPEKTRUM IRAN (SPIR) follows a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of published articles. In this process, the identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review procedure.
All submitted manuscripts are initially evaluated by the Editorial Office to determine their suitability with the aims and scope of the journal, compliance with submission requirements, and overall academic quality. Manuscripts that are outside the scope of the journal or do not meet minimum scholarly standards may be rejected without external review.
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial assessment are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers with relevant expertise in the field. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, methodological rigor, theoretical contribution, clarity of presentation, relevance, and overall scholarly significance.
Reviewers are required to declare any potential conflicts of interest and to provide objective, constructive, and confidential evaluations. Statistical or methodological experts may be consulted when necessary.

The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief, taking into account the reviewers’ recommendations and the journal’s editorial policies. In cases of substantial disagreement between reviewers, additional expert opinions may be sought.
The peer-review process aims to improve the quality of submitted manuscripts and to support transparent, fair, and rigorous scholarly communication. However, peer review does not guarantee the absence of errors or research misconduct; responsibility for the integrity of the research remains with the authors.
